The after party is being held at the iconic Gherkin building, with drinks and dancing until 3am. Taxis will be provided to transport guests from RIBA from 11.30pm. Address: 30 St Mary Axe, London, EC3A 8EP.

FAQs

1. What is the dress code?

Dress to impress/smart.

2. What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?

RIBA is located a short walk away from Regent's Park, Marylebone High Street and Oxford Street.

Nearest London Underground stations are Oxford Circus, Regents Park and Great Portland Street. Buses that stop nearby include numbers: C2, 18, 27, 30, 88, 205 and 453. On-street parking is available on Portland Place (A4021) and its vicinity. Please note that 66 Portland Place is inside the northern boundary of the Congestion Charging zone.

3. What are the accommodation options?

Hotels close to RIBA can be booked via https://www.trinityconferences.co.uk/ratecard.aspx?event=PIE17

4. What happens if I buy a ticket and am then shortlisted for an award?

Everyone who is shortlisted for an award gets a guaranteed ticket for the evening (one ticket per organisation), at a discounted rate. If you have bought a ticket and are then shortlisted, you will be able to cancel the ticket you have bought and purchase a discounted-rate ticket.

5. What is the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable. The only exception to this is if you are shortlisted for an award - see #4.

6. Are tickets transferable?

If you buy a ticket and are unable to attend, you can nominate someone else to attend in your place. If you cannot make it or are sending a colleague, please let us know so we can arrange the seating accordingly. Please email pieoneers@thepienews.com if this is the case.

7. How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Please contact clare@thepienews.com with any questions you have about the event.

8. Do I need to bring ID?

To enter the Gherkin for the after party, you must have ID with you (a bank card with your name on is fine).

9. Why am I being charged VAT?

With events, it is where the event takes places that determines whether VAT is applicable, irrespective of where the customer is located. We therefore have to charge VAT to all attendees. You will be supplied with an VAT invoice, so you can claim back the VAT, where applicable.
